Among the indigenous people of the South American rainforests, the palm is the most widely used, necessary and versatile tree. It is used to build tools, vessels, shelter and shelter and to make weapons such as breathing tubes, arrows, bows, spears – and their edible fruits are still an important source of nutrition.
