Icebergs vary in both shape and size from the so-called “growlers” the size of a concert grand piano up to the very large ones that cover an area larger than Majorca. The shape can also vary and the three most well-known are, apart from the very bulky flat icebergs, the dome-shaped, the pointed and the irregular. The tip iceberg is observed throughout the Antarctic Ocean in increasing numbers due to the changing temperature conditions that affect weather, wind and current conditions so that the rate of melting increases.
